Vice Chairman	Chris Lee I became interested in astronomy after a visit with my parents to the London Planetarium. I soon acquired a basic telescope and started observing. My woodwork teacher then invited me into assisting with the construction of the school observatory. One thing led to another and I decided to study the subject at University. After graduation I put away the scope and did no observational astronomy for 30 years. Fast forward to my 50th and I decided it was time to rekindle my boy hood enthusiasm for observing and I acquired an 8 inch Celestron. I now enjoy dark nights sketching clusters, "faint fuzzies", double stars,planetary and lunar targets - weather and light pollution permitting!
