Where To Find Us (regular Friday venue)

BAS meet most Friday evenings at the Bristol Photographic Society, Unit 13, Montpelier Central, Station Road, Montpelier, Bristol. Postcode: BS6 5EE. Details of our Programme of Events can be found  here.


  • Going north from the city centre, drive up the A38 Stokes Croft Road and Cheltenham Road. At the traffic lights before the railway arches turn right into Station Road.
  • Coming south from the A38 Gloucester Road,  drive under the railway arches and at the traffic lights turn left into Station Road - just past an earlier "No left turn" and opposite the Cat and Wheel pub, on the right.
  • Drive to the end of Station Road and turn right into a small business park, opposite Montpelier railway station.
  • BPS, unit 13, is the 4th on the left.


  • First Bus operate very regular services that pass near BPS.
  • The nearest bus stop is called 'Colston's School', on Cheltenham Road.
  • Bus routes: 12, 70, 71, 73, 75, 76, 78, X7
  • Alight at Colston's School and walk 100m north. Turn right and walk 300m to the top of Station Road towards Montpelier railway station. Turn right opposite the station and BPS is unit 13, the 4th building on the left.

BY TRAIN (Montpelier station)

  • Great Western Railway operate services to Montpelier from Bristol Temple Meads,  Avonmouth and Severn Beach. These also  stop at Clifton, Redland, Lawrence Hill and Stapleton Road. BPS is 50 metres in front of Montpelier station.
